Taylor Gee Wins Carl S. Marvel Graduate Fellowship

Congratulations to CBC graduate student Taylor Gee, this year's recipient of the Carl S. Marvel Graduate Fellowship. Taylor is a Ph.D. student in Michael Heien's lab. This scholarship honors an outstanding graduate student in CBC, and is a gift to the University of Arizona from friends, family, colleagues, and the Southern Arizona Section of the American Chemical Society, in memory of Professor Carl S. Marvel. Professor Marvel's many accomplishments have had a positive impact on all of our lives. He received numerous awards during his lifetime, including the 1956 Priestley Medal and the 1986 National Medal of Science, presented by President Ronald Reagan. In addition to his scientific legacy, his dedication to education was well known.
