Welcome to the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry!
- Our graduates become successful chemists and biochemists in fields such as medicine, drug development, materials development, bioengineering, fuel technology, astrochemistry, forensic science, education, law, and more!
- Each major encourages students to engage in a variety of research activities, receiving real world research experience in their respective lab sciences.
- We provide extensive support to our undergraduate students through a range of major advising, faculty advising, and peer mentorship.
Schedule a Tour!
Prospective Student Tours are usually held on the first Monday of every month, but we can accommodate most visits Monday-Friday between 9 am and 4 pm. Please contact us a couple of weeks in advance.
Outline of a tour:
- Meet with one or more of our undergraduate advisors to learn more about the department and your degree of interest.
- Ask our CBC Student Ambassadors any questions you have about being a student.
- Join our CBC Student Ambassadors as they take you on a tour of the department as well as one or more research labs
