New CBC Staff Spotlight: Stephanie Retrum
CBC welcomes a new member of the Advising Office, Stephanie Retrum!
"My name is Stephanie Retrum, and I am delighted to serve as an undergraduate academic advisor for CBC. The University of Arizona truly feels like home to me – I earned my Graduate Certificate in Adult Teaching here in December 2021, after completing earlier degrees in Elementary Education, French, and Economics. I also hold a master’s degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from Northern Arizona University.
I am deeply passionate about education, especially in the sciences, and feel fortunate to have interned at the Planetary Science Institute in Tucson as part of my graduate work. Outside of work, I enjoy stargazing as an avid amateur astronomer. I also love to hike and travel.
Before joining the University of Arizona, I spent over 20 years as a public-school educator in Tucson, working with bilingual and multicultural students from kindergarten through high school. Supporting students across those years has been one of the most meaningful parts of my career, and I still stay connected with many of those students today.
I look forward to partnering with CBC students as they pursue their academic, personal, and career goals at the University of Arizona!" ~ Stephanie.
