CBC Staff of the Month of March - Olivia Mendoza

Congratulations to Olivia Mendoza for the hard work and positive attitude that led to earning CBC’s Staff of the Month Award for March!

In a (nearly) final act before becoming Assistant Director of Academic Services, Debra Armand-Cade joyfully nominated Olivia and had this to say:

“Olivia is as integral part of the CBC Student Affairs/Advising team. Olivia goes above and beyond to build community within the department. She works diligently mentoring the Ambassadors and Peer Mentors. She is very encouraging to not just students but everyone she comes in contact.

“Olivia handles the social media making sure everyone knows all the good things happening in CBC. She works closely with the front office team on the Catalyst magazine and other alumni related activities. “She organizes monthly recruitment events and department social gatherings including the Ice Cream Social and Ambassador lunches to name a few.

“Olivia nominates students for various awards and many times, every year at least one CBC student receives a Dean of Student award.

“Olivia's role in helping to orchestrate the office move from Old Chem to BSW and back to Chem shows that she is always willing to go the extra mile and lend a hand. This is just a short list of all the things Olivia does to keep not just the Advising office but CBC a great place to be.”
