CBC Preceptor Spotlight: Suraj Shah

Meet Suraj Shah, a third-year Chemistry preceptor, majoring in Physiology!

His goal as a preceptor is to support students the way he was supported during his freshman year — by helping them build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of chemistry. When he first arrived at college, chemistry wasn’t a strong interest, but after taking CHEM 151 with Dr. Tori Hidalgo, he was inspired to add a chemistry minor. That experience sparked a passion for the subject, which he now hopes to share with others. 

He believes that learning can be challenging, but persistence and curiosity is the key to success. He encourages students to ask questions freely and see mistakes as essential steps in the learning process.
