CBC Fall 2025 Outstanding Senior: Dylan Weaver
Congratulations to Dylan Weaver who has been selected as the CBC Fall 2025 Outstanding Senior!
"Hello, my name is Dylan, and I am incredibly honored to be the CBC’s Fall 2025 Outstanding Senior recipient! I am originally from Lakeville, MN, but moved to Tucson so I could study biochemistry here at the University of Arizona. During my time in the CBC department, I have met so many caring and genuine faculty members and am extremely grateful for the diverse opportunities I have gotten a chance to participate in. During the fall of my sophomore year, I began an internship with the Department of Homeland Security, where I provided controlled substance analysis to combat narcotic control across the Southwest land border. In the fall of my junior year, I began as a researcher in the Taylor Research Group, where I started a project involving the use of radical photocages to attach fluorines to biomolecules. Currently, I am in the Accelerated Master’s Program for Biochemistry and will graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in the fall of 2025 and a Master’s degree in the spring of 2026. Afterward, I plan to attend medical school, become a physician, and integrate my biochemical knowledge with patient care." ~ Dylan.
