CBC Alumni Spotlight: Matheo Herrera

Biochemistry and MCB BS, Class of 2022.

"Since graduating from the University of Arizona, I began my career in biotechnology working on the development of protein antigens for vaccine candidates as well as protein carriers. I am now based in San Carlos, California, where I have transitioned into a new role focusing on using click chemistry to conjugate proteins to polysaccharides, advancing next-generation vaccine development strategies.

Outside of work, I’m excited to share a personal milestone — I became engaged on August 15, 2025. It’s been a wonderful season of both professional and personal growth, and I’m grateful to carry forward the foundation built during my time in CBC." ~ Matheo.
