The Science is Fun Club is an organization that focuses on demonstrating inclusion in the field of science, with our mission geared towards the idea that anyone can be a scientist. In this, the club meetings will be used to prepare for walkup events and presentations in mostly Title I elementary schools. The presentations will allow students to see themselves in a wide array of scientific STEM fields. In turn, students will learn to develop an identity within STEM, even if such a thought was previously thought unattainable. In these presentations, both full length and walkups, the topics will include every area of science. Overall, this club’s objective is to help increase the accessibility of science and research by bringing various experiments to the kids in the Tucson community.
