My primary focus is on general chemistry, including applications of organic chemistry and biochemistry. I emphasize connections between different disciplines, including the applications of chemistry to public health, medicine, and the environment. My approach to teaching includes helping students learn by looking for patterns and making predictions based on fundamentals.
