"Hi! My name is Josefa, and I am currently a pre-med undergraduate studying Biochemistry.
This summer, I had the wonderful opportunity to spend 5 weeks in Madrid, Spain, shadowing at Hospital Universitario Infanta Elena and Hospital Universitario Rey Juan Carlos.
During my time there, getting a firsthand look at clinical care, patient-physician interactions, and surgeries completely broadened my perspective on medicine, especially free public healthcare. I am ever so grateful for the mentors, doctors who let me observe their work, and of course the metro." ~ Josefa
