January 2025 Students of the Month: Chase Valentine

Congratulations to Chase Valentine for being selected as 1 of 3, 2025 January Students of the Month!

"I would like to recommend Chase Valentine for CBC student of the month. We have become friends over a shared love of biochemistry, and I have seen that he goes above and beyond in his classes and community. He is active in the Powerlifting club, and he just recently volunteered at an event called "Lift Heavy Love Dogs". Many biochemistry students enjoy research, but I have seen that Chase is exceptionally curious about research, and he has talked to me at length about research articles he finds interesting. He has also relayed that he is very excited to begin lab research. In the past several months, I have seen that Chase demonstrates a kind of excitement for science and biochemistry specifically that is only matched by his extreme dedication to his studies. He has also gone out of his way to help other biochemistry students without needing to be asked; for example, he created highly detailed, personalized (down to the color coordination) four-year plans for several of his biochemistry peers. I believe that Chase should be recognized for his efforts that go well above and beyond being a student, and I hope that you consider him for CBC Student of the month!"  ~ Natalie Rawlings
