CBC Teaching Assistant Spotlight: Kavya Sooriyaarachchi

"This is Kavya Sooriyaarachchi, and I am currently a second year PhD student in Chemistry. I have served as a Teaching Assistant for CHEM 151, CHEM 152 (General Chemistry) and CHEM 400 A (Advanced Analytical) labs, where my responsibilities include leading laboratory sections, assisting students during experiments and answering their questions. I enjoy helping students connect theoretical concepts with practical laboratory techniques and supporting them as they develop confidence in chemistry.  

One of the most rewarding aspects of being their TA is seeing students grow throughout the semester.  

And I always believe that "Mistakes and growing from them, are what makes us humans"."
