CBC Teaching Assistant Spotlight: Jason Farmer

CBC would like to showcase our fabulous Teaching Assistants. 

Meet Jason Farmer, who is a third year Ph.D. candidate studying Analytical Chemistry. Jason is an enthusiastic TA who is currently teaching CHEM 151 and has experience with CHEM 141, 152, and 400A. He is responsible for lecturing, proctoring, answering questions, and demonstrating lab techniques. Jason’s favorite part of being a TA is getting to see the ‘lightbulb moments’ where students realize they have mastered a new skill. Jason enjoys applying chemistry concepts to develop practical solutions for real-world problems. His research is currently focused on the study of new materials with applications for sustainable and renewable energy.
