The CBC Instructional Laboratory Support Group (ILSG) was awarded the 2026 Team Award for Excellence!

Congratulations to the CBC ILSG for being honored with the 2026 UA Team Award for Excellence! 

ILSG has been instrumental in keeping our wonderful Department running! Thousands of students in varying programs rely on the ILSG every semester. The ILSG works tirelessly on keeping track of all of the little things that go into enriching a student's educational experience. For example, the team prepares, sets up, maintains, and repairs equipment, all while ensuring that the materials needed are accounted for. 

However, that is only a fraction of what the ILSG does on a daily basis. In fact, the ILSG also develops the curriculum, lab experiences, lab guides and trains our teaching assistants. Their cohesiveness supports the completion of 49,000 student credit hours every academic year! 

The ILSG's creative implementations have streamlined operations and saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in costs!  They've eliminated the need for student employees and redesigned lab rooms to expand capacities in order to decrease the number of TA lines. All while maintaining the quality of lab experiences for students!
