Key Request & Keyless PIN Access
There are three options for requesting access or keys to buildings, rooms, or areas in CBC.
Standard key requests
Key requests for rooms and areas in the following buildings managed by our department: Biosciences West (BSW), Chemistry (OC), Chemical Sciences (CSB), Koffler, and Marvel.
After-hours access
If you are requesting after-hours access to a building using your CatCard and PIN (with or without keys), select the “Building” from the “+Add New” drop-down, leave the room blank, scroll to the bottom, select “Yes,” and provide a two- to three-sentence explanation to justify the need for after-hours building access.
Liquid Nitrogen* and Dry Ice areas
*Additional requirements for Liquid Nitrogen access requests. Anyone requesting access to the liquid nitrogen cage must upload a copy of their current Cryogenic Materials Safety Training completion certificate with their key request submission.
How to download a copy of the Cryogenic Materials Safety Training certificate.
If you have already completed the training, navigate to UAccess, click on EDGE Learning. In EDGE Learning, use the search bar (top right of window) to search for "Cryogenic Materials Safety Training." Then download the certificate.
If you have not taken the training or your certificate has expired, navigate to UAccess, click on EDGE Learning, and search for “Cryogenic Materials Safety Training.” Register and launch the training; once completed, download a copy of the certificate so you may upload it with your key request submission.
