Roger Miesfeld Appointed Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, UA Global

Congratulations to University Distinguished Professor Roger Miesfeld, who has been appointed to the new position of Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in UA Global by Brent White, Vice-Provost and Dean for Global Affairs. International education is one of the five core pillars in the UA Strategic Plan.

Roger will be responsible for overseeing the educational components (instruction and curriculum) of all UA Global educational programs, which includes microcampuses, study abroad, Study UA, the Early University Program, and other transnational educational endeavors. Roger will work closely with other UA Global team members, and with academic departments on campus and abroad, to implement programs and policies that provide high quality instruction at all levels to ensure student success as measured by retention and graduation.

Roger starts this half-time leadership position on October 21 and will continue to teach biochemistry courses in the CBC department as his other half-time commitment.
