Teaching Assistant Spotlight: Rajeswari Das

Meet Rajeswari Das, a 5th-year Chemistry Graduate Student, and a Teaching Assistant for CHEM 152. 

“I am a lab instructor for two 3-hour weekly lab sessions for CHEM 152 where I am responsible for presenting a pre-lab lecture, helping students throughout the lab session answering questions regarding experimental details and proposal writing and grading the assignments before the next lab session. I also hold office hours outside lab hours for additional support to my students.

My favorite part of being a TA is helping the students with technical skills and scientific concepts. It is amazing to impart the skills and knowledge that I have gained from my years of experience to the students today and support them. As a TA for CBC for all these years, I have learned from the supervisors and students alike. It is all about time management and balance that’s crucial to success and I hope to inspire my students to learn, grow, and achieve their goals.
