"Hello, my name is Aidan McMahon, and I'm currently a secondary-year organic chemistry PhD student. At the moment, I am a TA for Chemistry 243B, second semester of organic chemistry for non-majors. As a TA, I'm involved with helping students understand chemistry not just from a book but by getting hands-on experience, overseeing their set-up, and working up organic reactions.
I find the role of being a TA enjoyable because I get to teach organic chemistry to students coming from a wide variety of backgrounds. What inspires me is remembering my own TAs when I was an undergrad, remembering how pivotal they were in my education."
