CBC Office Staff Volunteer with UA Campus Pantry and Candlelighters of Southern AZ
Some of the Business Office/HR/Front Office staff continued the fun of volunteering this year at the UA Campus Pantry. The Campus Pantry is a student-run supplemental grocery program that serves students, faculty, and staff at the University of Arizona. They are located on the 1st floor of the Student Union Memorial Center across from the Esports Arena. The UA policy gives each full time employee 8 hours of paid volunteer time per calendar year and these ladies had a blast!
On the day that they volunteered, over 500 students or employees came through to pick up food. If you would like to know more about UA Campus Pantry to donate food, clothing or volunteer opportunities, click here - Home | Campus Pantry
Volunteers assist with putting together food bags for student’s specific requests, handing out food, re- stocking, and more. The food given out often changes, but last week CBC staff gave out bread, chicken, apples, bananas, peppers, potatoes, onions, canned goods, rice and more!
Thanks to Nicole Barber, Virginia Olivas, Debbi Busack, Yvonne Loya, Stephanie Boysen and Valerie McClure for participating and representing Chemistry and Biochemistry Staff!
In addition, two of the College of Science HR Team volunteered at Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern Arizona. They organized requests from families impacted by childhood cancer requesting holiday assistance, inventoried donations, prepared raffle ticket pick up sheets and more!
