CBC Congratulates Jeff Jheng who was selected as the 2025-2026 Dr. Wayne Cody Scholar in Medicinal Biological Chemistry!

“My name is Ren-Hua (Jeff) Jheng, and I am a third-year chemistry graduate student. Before moving to the United States, I was a research assistant at Academia Sinica (Taiwan), where I worked on stimuli-responsive liposomes for targeted drug delivery in the group of Professor Hsien-Ming Lee. In 2023, I began my Ph.D. studies at the University of Arizona and joined Professor Elisa Tomat's group to work on redox-active iron prochelators for cancer treatment. Currently, I am pursuing the development of small molecule-drug conjugates under the co-advisement of Professor Wei Wang. I am grateful for the support of the Dr. Wayne Cody Scholarship. A fun fact about me is that I like crystals, and the Tucson Gem Show is the most exciting event ever.” ~ Jeff.
