ORGINS Seminar: "Synthesis and Design of New Sulfur-Based Monomers for Optical Applications and a New Monomer Platform for Sulfur Monochloride Polymerization"

When

4 – 5 p.m., March 20, 2023
Presenter: Steve Nick, Graduate Student, Chemistry and Biochemistry, The University of Arizona
Abstract: My research in the Njardarson group is focused primarily on the synthesis and development of novel classes of monomers for optical applications. The resulting polymers are intended to be rich in sulfur, which is incorporated as a structural feature of the monomer or as a result of the polymerization techniques utilized.
