The Kathryn K. and James D. Steele Scholarship has been established through the generous gifts of Kathryn K. and James D. Steele.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be full-time graduate students in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at The University of Arizona who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Preference will be given to applicants who have a demonstrated interest in or commitment to advancing women in the field of chemical sciences. Additional preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate an interest in or provide evidence of activity in electrochemistry.
SELECTION PROCESS
The Department Head will appoint a scholarship selection committee composed of members of the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry. The committee will evaluate applications based on the eligibility criteria above. The recipient is eligible for renewal consideration if the student continues to demonstrate satisfactory academic progress as defined by the eligibility criteria.
