Teaching

I currently teach BIOC463A (Biochemistry Laboratory). In this course, students learn and practice a wide variety of laboratory techniques that are used in a modern biochemistry laboratory, such as site directed mutagenesis, gene expression analysis, protein production and purification, enzyme kinetics, among others. Students also learn how to interpret results, discuss their findings and troubleshoot their experiments. In addition, important transferable skills such as oral presentations, scientific writing and use of relevant databases are also practiced in this course.
