It is well known that NRF2 can be upregulated by many dietary compounds, exercise, and fasting to enhance our body’s ability to neutralize harmful free radicals and oxidative stress to promote health.

During the seminar, Masayuki Yamamoto, MD, PhD, and Thomas Kensler, PhD, will share the historical evolution of the NRF2 field, as well as their insights and latest research findings, making it an excellent opportunity to learn from and engage with top experts in this growing field. In addition, Dr. Yamamoto will share with you aging-like pathological alterations observed in NRF2 knockout mice that lived in International Space Station for 31 days.

Dr. Kensler will discuss the significance of boosting NRF2 through diet in protecting against cancer, based on his 20 years of human clinical trials. You will hear many more interesting stories directly from these distinguished speakers.

Dr. Donna Zhang is hosting a distinguished NRF2 lecture featuring duet speakers Drs. Masayuki Yamamoto and Thomas Kensler on Friday, May 19th at 2 pm in Drachman Hall Room B109.
