Abstract: Dr. Xiong’s research interest is directed toward applying medicinal chemistry tools to understanding and modulating human diseases. He will present the story of discovering Rintodestrant, an estrogen receptor degrader currently in clinical trials for advanced breast cancer. Additionally, he will report on the recent progress in discovering SARS-CoV-2 PLpro inhibitors.
