Tala Shahin

Tala ShahinTala is a sophomore at the University of Arizona majoring in Biochemistry and Physiology with a minor in Arabic. She is an Undergraduate Biology Research Program Fellow (UBRP) and conducts research with Dr. David Armstrong through the Southern Arizona Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA) on autologous plantar fat grafting in patients with diabetic foot ulcers. She is a 2017-2018 PreMD Ambassador with the UA College of Medicine and serves as the Health Chair of AED, the university's academic pre-health honorary. Upon graduating, Tala hopes to matriculate into medical school. In her free time, she enjoys photography and cooking.
