The Astronaut Scholarship Foundation (ASF) is proud to announce the 2020 Astronaut Scholar Class, composed of 56 students from 41 different universities across the nation. One of these scholars is Eric Lu, a Chemistry and Biochemistry senior at The University of Arizona. Astronaut Scholarships are awarded to students in their junior and senior year of college studying science, technology, engineering, or mathematics with the intent to pursue research or advance their field upon completion of their final degree. Astronaut Scholars are among the best and brightest minds in STEM who show initiative, creativity, and excellence in their chosen field.
The Astronaut Scholarship includes:
Up to $10,000 award
Expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. for the Innovators Gala where the awards will be presented to all of this year's scholars by an astronaut
Mentoring for one year by scholar alumni, C-suite executive, or astronaut
Opportunity to join in The Michael Collins Family Professional Development Program, which includes an opportunity to present at the Scholar Technical Conference
Opportunity to participate in Foundation events
Membership in the Astronaut Scholar Honor Society
