Dane Zambrano Wins CBC Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award

Congratulations to Dane Zambrano, who has been selected to receive CBC's Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award!

Dane was born in the Philippines and grew up in London, England. Whe finished high school in the United States as an AP/IB scholar. At the University of Arizona, Dane studied Biochemistry and Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science. Her research at the UA involved the characterization and implementation of Nanodiscs for the study of membrane proteins. She has been accepted to study at the University of Washington for her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and is interested in the Institute of Protein Design on campus to study and develop new forms of drug delivery.
