Sadie Keesler discovered her love of chemistry during her junior year of high school when she took her first chemistry class. Sadie’s love of the academic material and wide applications pushed her to study both physical and life sciences later in life. She plans to pursue a career where her scientific work positively contributes to society as a whole. Sadie began college as a Neuroscience and Cognitive Science major, but quickly rekindled her passion for chemistry while taking her first college chemistry course. She immediately added a Chemistry major before her first semester finished. The complexity of chemical relationships and our ever-changing understanding of them attracts Sadie to the subject.
Beyond science, Sadie also has a passion for service that continues to follow her throughout her educational journey. She began as a volunteer for Clinica Amistad within the first month of starting college and has been a regular face amongst the volunteers for the past two and a half years. She fervently believes that giving back to the community is the single best way to give thanks for the blessings in her life.
