Professor Richard G. Jensen

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Professor Richard G. Jensen on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at the age of 82.

Prof. Jensen earned his B.A. degree in 1961 and his Ph.D. degree in 1965 from Brigham Young University. He started at the University of Arizona in the Department of Chemistry in 1967, then helped form the new Department of Biochemistry when Chemistry and Biochemistry separated. He also held an appointment in the Department of Plant Sciences. After he retired in 1997, he and his wife Annette spent 18 months in Germany doing mission work for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Prof. Jensen is survived by his wife, Annette, their children, and grandchildren. A service will be held on Sat., November 10, 2018 at 10 am (viewing at 9 am) at 2002 N. Greasewood Road in Tucson.
