October is a junior currently majoring in chemistry at the University of Arizona. She is the oldest of four girls and has dedicated a lot of time to setting a good example for her younger sisters and attempting to stretch outside her comfort zone to prepare herself for a bright future. After earning her Associate’s Degree in General Studies at Eastern Arizona College and serving for eighteen months in Oregon as a missionary from her church, she transferred to the University of Arizona. She is excited by the opportunities granted by her studies at the University of Arizona. October is currently conducting research with Dr. Oliver Monti, a Chemistry and Biochemistry faculty member. Her research involves participating in the study of the electric properties of molecules in a mechanically controllable break junction.
