2026 Career Expo. “From Science to Career: Adapting Your Expertise for Impact”

The Program to Advance Women Scientists (PAWS) partnered with the Youth Chemistry Committee from the local ACS section to organize the 2026 Career Expo. The expo theme, “From Science to Career: Adapting Your Expertise for Impact,” featured talks by Dr. Julie Ledford, Dr. CJ Pommier and Dr. Charles Weldner, who shared insights from their diverse scientific career paths. Two career panels, consisting of scientists from the Tucson area and others joining via Zoom from across the country, allowed students to engage directly with professionals in a variety of fields. The event concluded with a networking session, giving students the opportunity to connect directly with companies in the Tucson area.
