Natasha Cornejo

I am currently a 3rd year Ph.D. student studying Chemistry. I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I earned my B.S. at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where I double majored in Biochemistry and Chemistry with a minor in Chicanx/Latinx Studies. I currently conduct research under the supervision of Dr. John Jewett. My research takes place at the interface of synthetic organic chemistry and biology, where I focus on making chemical tools to study protein behavior in specific chemical environments. I have always been passionate about increasing diversity and inclusion at all levels of academia, and am involved in various programs and initiatives across campus that support that effort. Outside of the lab I enjoy cooking, running, and watching reality TV shows.
