I was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois and received my B.A. in Chemistry at Augustana College, a small liberal arts institution. I moved to Tucson in June of 2014, where I immediately began working for Dr. Dennis Lichtenberger. My work involves studying strong electron donors containing quadruple bonds and their application toward high energy dechlorination reactions of aryl- and alkyl chlorides. Outside of the lab I enjoy photography, hiking, and working out with my wife.
