I was born in the farmland outside of Portland, Oregon. I attended the University of Oregon and obtained my B.S. in chemistry in 2014. I am now a fifth year PhD candidate studying how to probe proteins in mosquito larvae. After I graduate I will be joining the lab of Carolyn Bertozzi at Stanford University as a post-doctoral researcher. In my free time I love to practice yoga, go camping and hiking, and spend quality time with my cats.
