I’m originally from texas and I moved here to Arizona when I was still very young. I’ve grown up here and have always been curious about new things. I didn’t really get into science until my sophomore year of high school when I took my very first chemistry class. I fell in love with the subject right a way and it has been my passion since then. I started tutoring and being a teacher assistant my junior year making me realize I liked teaching. Ever since then I’ve wanted to spread my passion of chemistry to other students so they can enjoy it as much as I do. I want to inspire my future students the same way my teachers inspired me. After finishing my undergraduate at the University of Arizona, I intend to get my masters in education with the one year program there and start teaching as soon as I can.
I want to thank everyone who has supported me on this journey thus far especially:
- ACS for recognizing my potential and supporting me so I can accomplish my goals.
- My high school chemistry teachers Patricia Bills and Bernadette Moreno, I would not be here if it weren’t for them.
- The CBC department and the University of Arizona Chemistry Club for the guidance they have given me so far.
- My friends and family for always being there and cheering me on.
