All former & current Chemistry and Biochemistry students, faculty, staff & friends are invited to attend.
After registering, please fill out 1) an Activity/Tour Form so we can save you a space in the tours/activities that appeal to you most, and 2) a Biography Form to be included in the reunion program booklet.
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Tucson Marriott University Park Hotel, located conveniently close to campus at the corner of Tyndall Avenue and 2nd Street (behind Gentle Ben's). Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, 2-5 pm
Attend an Informal Meet & Greet Reception with appetizers at the Tucson Marriott University Park Hotel from 2-5 pm, with a no-host bar and a mariachi band from 4-5 pm. In addition to picking up your registration packet, this is a terrific opportunity to connect with old friends and make arrangements to go out to dinner together. Dinner is on your own. Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, 8 am to ~10 pm
Spend the day on the UA campus, touring the CBC facilities, having a buffet lunch with current students, and catching up with your friends. (NEW!) There will be a graduate student career and alumni networking event after lunch you may elect to attend.
Posters showing research done by CBC students will be on display all day and may be viewed whenever you have free time. Extend your experience by selecting optional activities such as taking a historical walking tour of campus, touring the Tree-Ring Lab, sharing memories with Cornelius Steelink, and/or seeing a Chemistry Demo Show presented by current CBC students. The reunion social hour and dinner starts at 6 pm in the Marriott Hotel's Ballroom, and Regents Professor Emeritus Victor J. Hruby
will be the speaker.
Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, 9 am - 12:15 pm
Enjoy a cup of coffee while chatting with representatives from the CBC student clubs. Attend one of the Research Talks presented by CBC Faculty Members M. Bonner Denton and Jacob Schwartz. See the star show "Desert Moon: Documentary of the UA's contribution to the Apollo missions and the space race" at Flandrau Planetarium. Lunch and the afternoon are on your own.
Attire - Dress is casual during the day; dressing in layers and wearing comfortable walking shoes is recommended. Sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle are recommended as well. The Friday dinner is business casual.
