Carissa Bond

Carissa BondMy name is Carissa Bond. I am a junior Chemistry major currently researching energy transfer mechanisms and light optimization of scintillant compounds in polymer thin-films and particle systems in Dr. Craig Aspinwall’s lab. My research has informed my professional aspirations, which include working with industrial applications of biopolymers, particularly those used in diagnostic biosensors. I hope to pursue a career in radiopharmaceutical diagnostics, with special interest in radioisotope-responsive polymer thin-film biosensors. Receiving the ASCT Scholarship is a blessing and a privilege; it has helped me pay for lab fees for the fall semester and helped cover costs of transportation to and from campus.
