I am currently a 3rd year PhD candidate studying Biochemistry at the University of Arizona. I previously earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at Butler University, in my hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana. As part of my PhD, I conduct interdisciplinary research under the guidance of Dr. Indraneel Ghosh, where I apply protein engineering techniques to study protein kinase signaling pathways, for the purpose of understanding their biology. The goal of this research is to identify novel therapeutics to treat diseases kinases are involved in. Aside from my laboratory work, I am also pursuing a Minor in Science Communication. In my free time, I enjoy making pottery, cooking, and hiking. Moving forward, I plan to continue my PhD research and secure a position within the life sciences industry post-graduation.
