Angela Rivera is an undergraduate who began her research career in May 2016 at the USDA Carl Hayden Bee Research Center. She joined a second lab through the Minority Health Disparities 2017 program and has remained with both labs through her senior year. She is currently completing her senior thesis which uses toxic metal to kill disease causing bacteria and is published for her work in the bee lab. She is in the honor's college and double majors in Biochemistry and Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in business administration. After graduation in May 2019, she plans on attending graduate school to obtain a PhD in pharmacology.
