Adam Knox

Adam KnoxIn addition to Chemistry, I am also pursuing a mathematics minor.  I chose chemistry as a major because I have always loved science and had early interests in drug discovery and pharmacology.  After coming to the University of Arizona, I connected with Dr. Louise Hecker and contributed to the identification of novel small-molecule inhibitors for the treatment of fibrotic disease.  Currently, I am working towards applying to medical school in the hopes of becoming a physician-researcher.  In my free time, I love to play tennis.  I have been an active member of Arizona Club Tennis since my freshman year, and we are three-time reigning Southwest Section Champions.
