This June I was in Moshi, Tanzania. This is a small "city," with wonderful views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa!! The first picture is me with the mountain this was the view from the house I stayed in!
Most of the time I was at the Kilimanjaro Centre for Orphans and Street Children (most of them are in the second picture with me). I taught English and in turn they taught me some games, which I was terrible at! Everyone I met in Tanzania was so friendly and welcoming: "karibu" is Swahili for welcome, and I must have heard that word a thousand times. One weekend I also went on safari, where I was lucky enough to see a pride of lions stalking a zebra herd for lunch. It was a beautiful country and I can’t wait to go back, hopefully armed with some better Swahili skills!
