Steven Fried

Steven FriedSteven is majoring in Biochemistry and Mathematics at the University of Arizona. He is currently conducting research in Dr. Michael Brown's lab, where he is exploring the biophysical relationship between lipids and membrane proteins using the visual protein rhodopsin, found in the retina, as a model. After his undergraduate studies are completed, Steven hopes to attend graduate school and become involved in a research career. Outside of his academic studies and research, Steven has been involved with the CBC ambassadors, the Undergraduate Biology Research Program (UBRP), the Navigators, MathCats, and Chem-E-Car. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, reading, and playing piano and the trombone.
