My name is Celina Nguyen. In addition to Biochemistry, I am also studying Molecular and Cellular Biology, with minors in Mathematics and Business Administration. I plan to continue my education in the field of biochemistry to pursue a career as a medical scientist. This goal developed from working with dengue virus in the Jewett lab. Particularly, I am interested in discovering the mechanisms by which infectious diseases target people and what can be done to prevent these diseases from spreading. Passionate about health, I am also an active member of Global Medical Brigades and a Patient Advocate in the Emergency Department of Banner-University Medical Center. When I have time, I like to unwind through baking and cooking.
